A western Montana roofer, close to Missoula
Revive is based in Plains, in western Montana, so the Missoula valley is part of our regular territory, not a long-haul trip. Owner Sam Hostetler has been in commercial roofing since 2009, and Revive is an Approved American WeatherStar Contractor.
Around Missoula we see the same pattern again and again: a commercial building on Reserve Street, in the Mullan Road area, downtown, or out toward Frenchtown starts leaking, and the first answer is a full replacement. Often the roof underneath is still sound. In that case, repairing the weak spots and sealing the whole surface with a seamless coating can add years of life for far less disruption than a tear-off.
We also serve Lolo, Frenchtown, Bonner, and the Bitterroot Valley.

Three ways to deal with an aging Missoula roof, and we'll tell you which one actually fits your building.
Roof coatings
Silicone and acrylic American WeatherStar coating systems over existing flat, low-slope, and metal roofs. A good fit for many Missoula retail and warehouse roofs that leak at seams and flashing.
Spray foam roofing
Spray polyurethane foam roofing adds a seamless, insulating layer over the roof deck, then gets a protective coating. It's worth a look for buildings with irregular roofs or a lot of penetrations.
Restoration vs. replacement
If the insulation is soaked or the deck is damaged, a coating won't fix it. We'll show you what we found and, if replacement is the better value, tell you that plainly.

What Missoula's climate does to a commercial roof
Missoula sits where several mountain valleys meet. Winters bring repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and water that works into a small opening at a seam or flashing freezes and pries it wider. Winter inversions can hold cold, damp air in the valley for days, so snow and ice sit on low-slope roofs longer than you'd expect.
Summer goes the other way: long, dry, sunny days, and smoky stretches in fire season. UV breaks down older roof surfaces, and a bright white coating reflects much of that sunlight back off the roof.
Most coating work in the Missoula area is scheduled from late spring into early fall, when it's dry and warm enough. Inspections and repairs can happen much of the year whenever the roof is clear and safe to walk.
How a project works
- Free roof inspection. We walk the roof, check seams, flashing, drains, fasteners, and penetrations, and look for wet areas.
- A straight answer. Coat, repair, spray foam, or replace. If a coating isn't the right call, we'll tell you.
- Repairs first. Problem areas get fixed before any coating goes down.
- Seamless finish. The coating or foam system goes on over the whole roof, usually while your building stays open.

Missoula commercial roofing FAQ
Do you do commercial roof coating in Missoula, MT?
Yes. We're based in Plains, and Missoula is part of our regular service area. We do roof coatings, spray foam roofing, roof restoration, repairs, and TPO and PVC work.
How much does a commercial roof coating cost in Missoula?
It depends on the roof's size, type, condition, and how much repair it needs first, so we don't quote a price per square foot without seeing the roof. The first inspection is free, and you'll get a written proposal.
Can you coat my roof in winter?
Coatings need dry weather and temperatures within the manufacturer's limits, so coating work around Missoula is usually done from late spring into early fall. We can inspect, make repairs, and plan the job earlier.
Will my business have to close during the work?
Usually not. Restoration happens on top of the existing roof, so most buildings stay open. We'll plan around your hours, deliveries, and parking.
Which towns near Missoula do you serve?
Missoula, Lolo, Frenchtown, Bonner, and the Bitterroot Valley, plus the rest of western Montana. Call 406-210-3168 if you're not sure.
