Commercial Roof Coating & Restoration in Kalispell, MT

Heavy snow, long winters, and spring melt are hard on Kalispell's flat and metal commercial roofs. We restore them with seamless coatings and spray foam, so a leaking roof doesn't automatically mean a new roof.

Restoring commercial roofs across the Flathead

Kalispell has grown fast, but many of the valley's commercial buildings, from the shops and warehouses along Highway 93 and the industrial areas near the airport to the older buildings downtown, still have their original flat or metal roofs. When those start to leak, restoration is often the smarter first look.

Revive works out of Plains, just over the hill from the Flathead, and we serve Kalispell, Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Bigfork, Somers, Lakeside, and Polson. Owner Sam Hostetler has been in commercial roofing since 2009, and Revive is an Approved American WeatherStar Contractor.

Services

Commercial roofing services in Kalispell

Metal shop roofs, flat retail roofs, and big warehouse roofs each need something different. Here's what we offer.

Roof coatings

American WeatherStar coatings over metal and low-slope roofs. On Flathead metal buildings we treat rust, fix backed-out fasteners and open seams, then seal the panels in one seamless coat.

Spray foam roofing

Spray foam roofing builds a continuous, insulating layer with no seams for meltwater to find. For a heated shop or warehouse facing long winters, it's an option worth talking through.

Restoration vs. replacement

Snow that sits for months can soak insulation under a failed membrane. If the core samples show a wet roof, a coating isn't the answer, and we'll recommend repair or replacement instead.

Snow load, ice, and spring melt in the Flathead

The Flathead gets real winters. Snow piles up on low-slope roofs, drifts against parapets and rooftop units, and can sit for weeks. When it melts, the water has to get off the roof. Clogged drains, crushed gutters, and tired flashing are where Kalispell roofs usually leak.

Ice is the other problem. Meltwater refreezes at the roof edge and around drains, backs up, and gets under laps and seams. A seamless coating or spray foam surface takes away most of the seams that water can work into.

After a heavy winter, a spring roof check is cheap insurance. We'll clear and fix drainage, seal the details, and mark anything that needs attention before next winter. Ask about our roof maintenance plans.

How a project works

  1. Free roof inspection. We walk the roof, check seams, flashing, drains, fasteners, and penetrations, and look for wet areas.
  2. A straight answer. Coat, repair, spray foam, or replace. If a coating isn't the right call, we'll tell you.
  3. Repairs first. Problem areas get fixed before any coating goes down.
  4. Seamless finish. The coating or foam system goes on over the whole roof, usually while your building stays open.

FAQ

Kalispell & Flathead roofing FAQ

Do you serve Kalispell and the rest of the Flathead Valley?

Yes. We work in Kalispell, Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Bigfork, Somers, Lakeside, and Polson. We're based in Plains, just west of the valley.

Can a coating handle Flathead snow loads?

A coating doesn't add structural strength. It seals the roof surface. Your building's structure carries the snow. What a coating does is close up the seams and laps where meltwater gets in, which is where most Flathead roof leaks start.

My metal shop roof is rusting. Can it be saved?

Often, yes, if the panels are still solid. We clean and treat the rust, replace or reseal fasteners, fix seams, and coat the roof. If panels are rusted through, we'll tell you.

When do you schedule coating work in Kalispell?

Usually late spring into early fall, when it's dry and warm enough for the coating. We can inspect and plan earlier in the year.

Is the first inspection really free?

Yes. Your first commercial roof inspection is free, with no obligation.
