Commercial Roof Coating & Restoration in Billings, MT

Hail, wind, and big temperature swings make Billings tough on commercial roofs. We restore large flat, metal, and foam roofs with seamless coatings and spray foam, and we focus on big buildings.

Large-roof restoration for Billings buildings

Billings is Montana's largest city, with distribution warehouses, retail centers, shops, and industrial buildings in the Heights, along King Avenue, and out toward Lockwood and Laurel. A lot of them sit under very large low-slope and metal roofs, the kind of roofs where replacement costs add up fast.

That's where restoration earns its keep. Revive focuses on large commercial roofs. We travel from western Montana for the right Billings project, and owner Sam Hostetler has been in commercial roofing since 2009. Revive is an Approved American WeatherStar Contractor.

We also take projects in Laurel, Lockwood, Shepherd, and the surrounding Yellowstone County area.

Services

Commercial roofing services in Billings

For large Billings roofs, the right choice can be worth a lot of money. These are the three options we'll walk you through.

Roof coatings

Silicone and acrylic coating systems over flat, low-slope, and metal roofs. On a big warehouse or retail roof, restoration avoids tear-off, disposal, and downtime.

Spray foam roofing

Spray foam roofing creates a seamless, insulating roof that's then protected with a coating. Spray foam can also be used to restore a hail-damaged roof, as we did on a Montana steakhouse roof in Martinsdale.

Restoration vs. replacement

Hail can bruise insulation and crack membranes below the surface. We inspect for that, and if the roof is too far gone for a coating, we'll recommend repair or replacement.

Hail, wind, and Billings weather

Billings gets regular summer thunderstorms, and hail is a real concern for commercial roofs here. Hail dents metal panels, cracks older membranes, and bruises the insulation underneath, damage that doesn't always show from the ground.

Strong winds and chinook warm-ups bring big temperature swings, sometimes in a single day. That expansion and contraction stresses seams, flashing, and fasteners. The sun is intense on the open plains, and it ages roof surfaces fast.

After a hailstorm or major windstorm, we can inspect the roof, mark and photograph damage, and explain your repair options. A roof inspection with photos is useful to have when you talk to your insurance company.

How a project works

  1. Free roof inspection. We walk the roof, check seams, flashing, drains, fasteners, and penetrations, and look for wet areas.
  2. A straight answer. Coat, repair, spray foam, or replace. If a coating isn't the right call, we'll tell you.
  3. Repairs first. Problem areas get fixed before any coating goes down.
  4. Seamless finish. The coating or foam system goes on over the whole roof, usually while your building stays open.

FAQ

Billings commercial roofing FAQ

Do you work in Billings, MT?

Yes, for commercial roof coating, spray foam, and restoration projects, especially larger roofs. Call or email with the building's location and roof size and we'll plan the visit.

Can a hail-damaged roof be restored instead of replaced?

Sometimes. If the deck and most of the insulation are sound, hail damage can often be repaired and the roof restored with a coating or spray foam. If hail has soaked or crushed the insulation, replacement may be the better choice.

Do you work with insurance claims?

We can inspect the roof after a storm and document the damage with photos, which you can share with your insurance company. Coverage decisions are up to your insurer.

What size roofs do you take on in Billings?

Commercial roofs of every size, with a focus on large roofs. Our largest single project was a 240,000 sq ft spray foam roof for Duratech Industries in North Dakota.

Is the first inspection free in Billings?

Your first roof inspection is free. Because Billings is a longer trip for us, we'll talk through the roof with you first and plan the visit.
